Dearborn neighborhood pools to close for season Aug. 16

Dunworth and Ford Woods pools to stay open through Labor Day

DEARBORN — The city’s three neighborhood pools — Lapeer, Summer-Stephens and Ten Eyck — will close for the season at 6 p.m.  Aug. 16.

The city’s two community pools — Dunworth and Ford Woods — will continue to operate through Labor Day, Sept. 7.

Beginning Aug. 17, the pool hours will change at Dunworth and Ford Woods. Both pools will be open from 4 to 7 p.m. weekdays, noon to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, and noon to 6 p.m. Sept. 7.

All swimmers must either pay a daily admission fee or purchase a seasonal pool tag. The daily admission fee is $9 for Dearborn residents (proof of residency is required) and $12 for non-residents at Dunworth and $7 for residents and $10 for non-residents at Ford Woods.

Pool tags for next summer, good for admission to any of the city’s outdoor pools during the 2016 summer pool season, will go on sale the first week of April at the service desk of the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Ave.
