TAYLOR – Police are looking for a man last seen having ditched a 2014 Ford Escape he allegedly carjacked at gunpoint.

Police Chief Mary Sclabassi said police responded to a call from a 32-year-old St. Clair Shores man whose vehicle was taken from him. The man had parked at Mobil gas, 9190 Pelham, about 3:30 a.m. July 13.

After making a purchase the man said he was approached by a black man, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, thin and wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt. The attacker pointed a black handgun at the man and demanded the keys.

The customer said he threw the keys down and ran back inside, where he called police.
