DEARBORN — Police are asking the community for help in an investigation into a stabbing that occurred about 2:15 a.m. Sunday.

Police responded to the parking area north of Michigan between Neckel and Schaefer on a report of an injured man and discovered a 24-year-old Southfield resident bleeding heavily from multiple stab wounds.

The man was transported from the scene to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

No suspect information has been released and Police Chief Ronald Haddad said that the investigation is ongoing.

He said anyone who was in the area and witnessed the altercation or knows anything about the assault is asked to call the Dearborn police tip line at (313) 943-3012.

“Citizen tips are vitally important for the successful identification of suspects, and we urge the public to be proactive with their help in this case,” Haddad said.
