3rd annual Bless Fest Saturday

TAYLOR – The third annual Everyone A Chance to Hear Bless Fest will be held at Wayne County Community College District-Downriver Campus, 21000 Northline Road, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

This year’s free event will offer on-site medical care, health screenings, an exposition of agency resources and workshops, a job fair with 24 employers ready to hire (850 jobs projected), groceries for 1,200 homes, and kids’ zone with inflatables for children ages 5 to 11.

Practical workshops will be presented by local agencies, businesses and organizations every 30 minutes from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The website, www.Blessfest.info, lists more than 40 agencies, supporting organizations and churches that are sponsoring the event.

2013 Bless Fest sponsors include: Home Depot, Michigan Works (to help with resumes on 24 computers), Oakwood Healthcare System, Laske Chiropractic, Garden City Hospital, New Hope Food Pantry of Melvindale and Forgotten Harvest, 10 churches from the EACH Downriver Community Network, Telegram Newspaper, the Information Center, the Guidance Center, Guiding Hands Pregnancy Refuge, Children’s Resource Network Center, Bridges to Healing, Wayne Metro, and Life Challenge of Southeast Michigan and Green Path Debt Solutions
