Feather is a large adult male American shorthair who pound staff describe as a “gentle giant.” He is sweet and affectionate.

Little orphan Annie
Annie is a large American shorthair female who came to the pound as a stray and was allowed to have many litters of kittens until someone found her, had her spayed and brought her to the pound. She needs a home to call her own and a family to love her.

Marilyn’s a star
Marilyn is a medium adult female named the original platinum beauty, Marilyn Monroe. She loves other cats and is content to curl up and nap on her pillow.

Dog adoption fees are $85 and cat adoption fees are $60 (both in cash). Fees include spaying or neutering, first distemper vaccine and a rabies vaccine if the animal is old enough. The Wyandotte Animal Pound is at 1170 Grove, west of 11th Street. Adoption hours are 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.
