“Bridging Opportunity” will be the focus of the consul general’s remarks and will detail Michigan’s vital trade relationship with Canada — a relationship that is particularly important to many businesses in Dearborn. The Canadian consulate general heads, promotes trade, investment, culture, the environment and immigration services among others. Until August 2012, Norton served the Canadian Embassy in Washington, D.C., as Minister of Congressional, Public and Intergovernmental Relations.
