Sewer separation project will affect Telegraph traffic

DEARBORN – Construction related to a sewer separation project in the city’s Dearborn Hills neighborhood will affect northbound Telegraph traffic near Marshall beginning this week, and last about three weeks.

Northbound traffic on Telegraph will be reduced to two lanes near Marshall, which is just south of Cherry Hill.

Northbound Telegraph traffic will not be able to access Marshall during this phase of construction.

No onstreet parking will be allowed for the section of Marshall between Telegraph and South Waverly during the three weeks.

Construction timetables are always dependent on weather and other conditions.

The sewer separation project will impact Dearborn residents who live east of Telegraph, west of Outer Drive, south of Cherry Hill and north of the Rouge River.

Sewer separation will also involve new water mains and new roads. Construction is expected to last through 2013 in this area. It is part of the federally-mandated water pollution control project commonly known as the CSO project.
