Heights Chamber receives proclamation from mayor

Dearborn Heights Chamber of Commerce President Lynne Killion and Excutive Director Wendy Fichter received a proclamation signed by Mayor Dan Paletko at the Dearborn Heights City Council meeting Oct 11 stating that October 2011 is Dearborn Heights Chamber of Commerce Month in the City of Dearborn Heights. The proclamation read:

Whereas, The Dearborn Heights Chamber of Commerce works with the Dearborn Heights business community to promote the commercial, professional, financial and general interests of the city,

Whereas, The financial and volunteer resources of 150 businesses located and operating within the Dearborn Heights area have contributed to the success of the Chamber of Commerce;

Whereas, The Chamber of Commerce has supported the protection of commerce and the region’s economy for 39 years since its incorporation in 1972;

Whereas, The Chamber of Commerce works to promote the region’s business community through information resources and networking opportunities;

Whereas, The Chamber of Commerce works to strengthen the needs and interests of the community through involvement with local service clubs.

Therefore, Be It Resolved, that I, Daniel S. Paletko, Mayor of the City of Dearborn Heights, County of Wayne, State of Michigan, do hereby recognize the contributions of the Dearborn Heights Chamber of Commerce toward improving Dearborn Heights residents’ quality of life and hereby proclaim the month of October, 2011 as “Dearborn Heights Chamber of Commerce Month” in the City of Dearborn Heights.
