Trenton held its annual Memorial Day Parade May 29 along West Road from Fort Street to the Kennedy Recreation Center. Top, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1888 members carry their flags. Second from top, local Rosie the Riveters including Barb Galofaro (left), Ronnie Gly and Marilouise Blanco, all of Trenton, and Lillian Thompson of Ferndale chat with Councilman William LeFevre (right). Blanco worked at the Ford Motor Co. Willow Run plant making airplanes, where 18,810 B-24 Liberators were built. Third from top, VFW members in uniform join the march. Bottom, the Fife & Drum Corps of Plymouth step lively while playing their instruments. The day’s activities included a flyover by two planes from the Yankee Air Museum.
