Children’s Book Week May 6-12 at the Henry Ford Centennial Library

DEARBORN–Children and their families will be offered a variety of special activities at the Henry Ford Centennial Library during Children’s Book Week, May 10 – May 16.

The library has an outstanding children’s book collection to encourage a love of reading and books. Drop in for a program and enjoy the newly renovated enchanted forest youth area.

Bag It Up Craft: Go green this Children’s Book Week by decorating your own small book bag. Cloth bags and markers will be provided. Craft is available while supplies last. 5-8 p.m. Monday, May 10. All ages.

Storytime: Children may participate in stories, rhymes, songs and a simple craft. 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 11. Ages 2 – 5.

Pajama Storytime: Wear your pajamas and bring a comfy blanket. Enjoy some milk and cookies while listening to stories about going to sleep. 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 11. All ages.

Scavenger Hunt: Use your library skills to finish our hunt. 3-5:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 12. All ages.

Spinning Tales: Watch the wheel turn and hear yarns about spinning. A small craft is included. 6 p.m., Thursday, May 13. All ages.

Picnic Storytime: Bring your own brown bagged treats to munch on while you listen to fun stories. 4:30 p.m., Friday, May 14. All ages.
