Snickers, a 1-year-old female, is a small, black and brown, domestic shorthair tortoiseshell mix. She was rescued as a stray in Lincoln Park. She has not yet been spayed.

Simon says take me home
Simon, a 3-year-old male, is a black domestic medium hair mix. He was transferred to Allen Park from another shelter to improve his chances of being adopted. He has been neutered.

The Allen Park Animal Shelter, 16850 Southfield Road, is housed in the back of a large blue building east of the City Hall parking lot. Shelter hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday. The shelter is closed Wednesday. Cat adoptions cost $45, which includes a $15 adoption fee and a $30 spay/neuter deposit. Adopters receive a discount certificate for post-adoption veterinary care at Dix Animal Hospital, 1127 Dix in Lincoln Park.
