Annual publication has Public Service Days info, convenient listing of City phone numbers

DEARBORN – The 2010 City Calendar is scheduled to arrive in residential mailboxes through Monday.

Residents can access useful information about the city, including important city phone numbers. The calendar also explains details about changes to Public Service Days in 2010.

Public Service Days will occur every week in 2010, from April 5 through Nov. 30. The calendar will let residents know when to remove their parked vehicles from the streets during Public Service Days to avoid being ticketed.

The calendar lists phone numbers for all city services and departments, and explains rules for property maintenance and trash and recycling collection.

In addition, it contains dates for all city-sponsored events, tax payment deadlines, major recreation programs, flu shots, theater performances, leaf collection season and other services.

The city’s budget and information about public safety can also be found in the calendar.

With the theme, “Beautiful Dearborn,” the calendar promotes the efforts of the City Beautiful Commission and others to encourage a high level of property maintenance.

Residents who haven’t received a calendar in the mail by Monday should call the Department of Public Information at (313) 943-2285.

Copies of the calendar also can be picked up at City Hall, 13615 Michigan Ave.
