‘Tales of Three Cities’

DEARBORN / Nov. 12, 2009—The mayors of the cities of Detroit, Southfield and Dearborn will come together at the University of Michigan-Dearborn on Friday, Nov. 20 for a “Tales of Three Cities” panel discussion on a wide range of topics, including the effects of demographic and other forms of social change on their cities and the wider metropolitan community.

Bankole Thompson, senior editor of the Michigan Chronicle, will moderate the discussion between Detroit Mayor Dave Bing, Southfield Mayor Brenda Lawrence and Dearborn Mayor John B. O’Reilly as part of the campus’s “Issues in Diversity and Social Change” lecture series, which is sponsored by UM-Dearborn’s Office of Multicultural Affairs.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 20 in Room 1500 of the campus’s Social Sciences Building.
