Dearborn Public Schools employees demonstrated in front of City Hall Tuesday morning, protesting the recent school funding reductions by the state. A veto by Gov. Jennifer Granholm and a later budget cut resulted in a $292-per-pupil reduction for DPS compared to 2008 levels. For the 18,000-student district, that equals more than $5.25 million.
